    • Under supervision, the Certified Nurse Aide assists the professional
      nursing personnel in providing patient care in the long-term care
    • Education

      • Preferred: Minimum 6 months as C. N. A. in LTC setting

      • Required: Certified as Nursing Aide on Texas Nurse Aide Registry by Texas
        Department of Aging and Disability
      • Preferred: None
      • Assists resident with bathing, dressing,
        grooming, toileting, changing bed linens, positioning in/out of a changing bed
        and performing related daily activities.
      • Reads and follows daily care plan; performs
        assigned restorative and rehabilitative procedures; reports changes in
        resident's condition to Charge Nurse; documents care provided and reports
        accidents and incidents.
      • Prepares residents for meals and snacks,
        and assists them in eating when needed, and records food/fluid intake as
      • Assists with nursing care by performing
        assigned tasks; i. e., vital signs, transferring residents, repositioning
        residents, linen changes, oral care, etc.
      • Reports residents' condition to Charge
        Nurse and responds to residents' calls promptly and courteously.
      • Uses equipment and supplies properly and
      • Orients new residents to their room and
      • Orients and mentors new CNA's to policy and
        procedure, duties, and resident care. Performs other duties as

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
